Congratulations to all students at Lostock Hall Academy who have demonstrated great resilience and the ability to be flexible, as well as determined to make the best of any situation. The reward for such determination and resilience can now be seen with the excellent results that once again students have achieved.

Leading up today, Yr11 students nationally, have faced some very real challenges, none more so than illness themselves, as well as staff and family illness. But we are proud that LHA students didn’t give up on their learning. With a focus on the future and what could be, they carried on. But this would not have been possible without the support of dedicated staff, who continued to provide quality education throughout, during the many Covid absences. Their ongoing encouragement and support alongside their excellent teaching have helped students stay on track for great success.

With so many students achieving high grades, it’s important to remember that students are more than grades, they are exceptional, inspiring and talented young people. The Principal, Mrs Gorman, said “Now more than ever, the Governors and I are proud of the immense effort and resilience that our Yr11 students have put into their futures. They could easily have thrown away their future hopes and dreams. Instead, they have demonstrated a “can do” attitude and I hope sincerely they will go on to make positive changes to the world in whatever they choose to do.

Congratulations to them all!
