At Lostock Hall Academy we are committed to providing our students with the education and the personal development they need to reach their goals. Through a “Growth Mindset” approach, we promote a can do attitude to learning, with guided pathways onto a college course or apprenticeship and into higher education and ultimately, to their chosen career.

In a rapidly changing society, we believe it is essential to equip our students with the right skills, knowledge and attitude, through a wide range of experiences, preparing them for the world of work.

We are frequently praised for our very positive ethos and family feel. With students who are well behaved and are enabled to concentrate on their studies and go on to achieve on their chosen pathway. They are proud to belong to the Lostock Hall Academy family and feel safe and supported during their time here.

Our students are an asset to the school and very much valued as individuals. Through our core values of commitment, high quality teaching and learning, integrity, teamwork, respect, being a good citizen and personal accountability, we encourage a can do culture.

All of our teaching staff are well qualified and experienced practitioners who fully support our core values and help to engender this culture of mutual respect guiding students towards success.

We offer a broad and well balanced curriculum but we don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach for education. Personalised learning lies at the heart of what we do and all students are encouraged and supported to achieve their personal best. Through this guiding and nurturing approach and a combination of high expectation and pastoral support, all students are encouraged to achieve academic excellence as well as to develop a moral compass.

We understand how important it is to relate our students’ education towards a successful career path, through strong links with colleges, universities and the world of work, giving our students the best chance possible to become citizens of the future with a role to make a positive difference for themselves and others.
